I was not the priveledged one to be in the Umbra region of the shadow so as to witness the total eclipse and the ring et al...
But yes it was a great experience even to witness the natures drama playing ...
We reached Birla Planetorium in chennai at sharp 530 am only to find a Looooong queue of awaiting people... No one knows what they were waiting for... Only thing the planetorium gave us was a couple of filmed googles....
We collected ours and immediately left and reached the beach where we witnessed the whole event using the goggles...
There were many people trying to capture the event in their cameras but none had the needed filters... Neither did we :)
Here are some of the pics of the experience we had... Dont have any pics of the eclipse since it was NAAT PAASIBLE to click any...
But we had fun....
And yes not to forget the mention of the awesome idlis that followed at murugan idli shop
